I’m twenty-one. The Big “21”, eh?

Welcome to the age of RA(21) films, Casino and unlimited Freedom. At this moment, I couldn’t be happier. I have great friends who wished me an early birthday at 12am or even before plus my lovely family who called with my dad singing “Happy Birthday” over the phone – how wonderful! Finally, Simon called me after our chat session – before he went to bed. Such a sweetheart. Thanks for calling me two days in a row! Only my mum does that. Haha.

Today also marks my final day freelancing at Red Dawn Communications. I’m gonna miss working with Flo and Jeanette. You can’t get a better all-girl team elsewhere. Yesterday, I made a gazillion phone calls for this silly cheerleading competition. Ugh. I just dislike talking to useless operators who “ahhh… umm…” all the time especially those who put me on hold! My ears were ringing with that silly circus music the entire day. Work was rough.

I finally got my Temporary Employment Pass. Yeah! This means I can stay in Sillypore to work for another 3 months before they decide if they wanna keep me in this puny island. Well, I start work next Monday in Yuppie Land (Raffles Place) at the office. I’m getting my own desk, DID, namecards and stuff – - > remind me of ‘Office Space’. My first cubicle. My personal cup. Ah, coffee machine. Forget about the anticipation. I know I’m going to hate everything in a week’s time.

I’ve decided to have a last minute gathering at my aunt’s place at Heritage View. I’ve asked her to book the BBQ pit for me – she was really nice and cool about it. For party-crashers, here’s the info: (NOTE: BE GOOD, BRING FOOD)

Venue: BBQ Pit (pool-side), Tower A, Heritage View, Dover.
Time: 7pm onwards
Date: 30 July 2004, Friday

I would need some contributions: CAKE, charcoal, soft drinks, food, snacks, more food, paper cups, plastic utensils and ice. Hehe, it would be nice. Just gimme a buzz if you’re coming. Your attendance will be very much appreciated. You’re also allowed to bring your swimwear if you want to. Hee.

Simon asked me what did I wish for my birthday. I told him that “My first birthday wish was for you to come online and it came true”. Haha. I guess I don’t wanna have too high expectations or I’ll end up disappointed. Tiger, I didn’t waste my first wish. It was worth it. I guess I didn’t see the phone call coming – that truly made my day. It’s funny how I find happiness in the little things. Ah, I shall save my final two wishes for tonight.
