Editing on AVID can be faster if rendering doesn't take forever! Hmm. I've underestimated my "editing" time but hey, I'm still learning man. Rendering. Rendering. Hate that word now. Same applies when I use Photoshop. Rendering is E-V-I-L. I had double espresso and wasabi peas to keep me awake tonight to do some preliminary research for masina. My masina group rocks! At least we're on the right track and meetings are pretty efficient and fast. Not like CTV meetings.

Kee and I stayed back till 11 plus just now for editing from 3pm. That's 8 hours, ladies and gentlemen. We hardly talk though - dunno why we're both so engrossed in the AVID. However, we did listen to some Pet Shop Boys (a lil annoying for kee), Henry Mancini's Greatest Hits (It was cool but some pieces are too drama for the "editing" atmosphere), Phoebe Buffay hits and parodies from Kee's collection. I feel that we're giving a 110% for CTV man. It's only the CCA semester but hey, I've never been so blardee "on" about anything and the fact that I'm enjoying it. I honestly think that Kee is the most dedicated amongst all the CTV members - for very obvious reasons.

Turn Left Turn Right is actually a good flick! Above average, I must say. Thanks to the nice people at Warner Bros - Janice, Terence, Charissa and I get to enjoy free movie yesterday at Jade 1, Shaw Towers. I think Edmund Chen outshine the lead, yes, including Takeshi Kaneshiro. He's so freakin spastic and funny! It was great man. Hope the next one is 28 Days Later. I'm really looking forward towards that one. Danny Boyle man! Woohoo!

phone surveys
OK. I H-A-T-E phone surveys. *groans* Not only the phone survey is blardee 10 pages long, my so-called "participants" are so uncooperative. I hate people who put me on hold. I hate people who reject me. I hate people who have hearing problem. I hate people who tell me "grandma" stories on the phone (get with da program, man!). In short, 6 bucks is SO hard to earn. I rather do more ushering job. Sigh. I even have "participants" who are out of the country and gosh, MPs are so mah fan. I hate big shots now for the fact that they're so busy to let me earn some cash. And, the survey didn't take only 15 mins but half an hour for some! Arrgghh! And I have 40 to do?!? After four harrowing hours, I managed to succesfully get six done. I drank about a bottle of water after every two calls. Hate phone surveys. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it!

For the first time in a very long time, I didn't step out of the house. Yup. Of all the days, I chose today not to go out and auntie didn't go to work. Dammit. Why is she always sick? *groans* Oh well. I watch 'Italian Job' again just now cuz I was so bored. Not really, I was trying to watch alot of movies today as "research" for my script writing - but I fell asleep again. Heh. Was very very tired after all the stupid phone calls. Hate phone surveys. Probably the worst job ever in history. I'll NEVER EVER conduct any surveys again. Come to think of it, I never like conducting surveys. Most of the time, I filled them myself. Ssshhh. But not this time, since it's the "real" thing.

I wanna watch 'Lolita' now. I have no freaking life. For the next few days, I've to hibernate in the AVID again. Sien. Need to find someone to burn the CTV programme lar. Hmm. I'm actually very worried for my DocProd now. Felt like my team is not "on" at all. The downside for having an all-CTV team for DocProd. We're more interested in CTV than DocProd. DIE. I've to make many phone calls to undertakers tomorrow. And print journ - suck my life and spit it out. Hate print. Thank gawd I've only 'Main Events' left to do which is about 300 words. Not too bad. Ok, later. Have to type the script for Noel for next week's 'Get Reel!'

First CTV Broadcast. Hurrah!
I am a happppyyyyy bunny today! CTV's first broadcast was a success despite the hiccups in the beginning thanks to JVC DV deck but everything went prefectly well after our heroic Van who ran all the way from CTV room with a Sony DV deck and save the day! Hip Hip Hurray! Thanks to all the CTV members - all our hard work hasn't gone to waste afterall and yesterday's "compiling" session was long, frustrating but major fun (esp the bonding session we had - haha!). Love you guys! *hugs* I couldn't help bouncing up and down when I saw people WATCHING and LAUGHING when watching 'Get Reel!' which means they actually enjoy our programme. *sniff* so "kam tung".

OK. I was 45 mins late for work today. The Asia Pacific Broadcasting "usher" job (more like a sign board). It was actually real fun although I got really tired at the end of the day. The best thing about this is the "contacts" we got - woohoo! I've never been so "pr" in my entire life. Amazing man. At least I managed to collect a few name cards from some "big shots" haha. Hopefully it will help me in 8 months time.

Some funny incidents when Amy and I were exchanging name cards with Sean, associate publisher of APB and I said that I will contact him - he showed me his wife's picture and said, "Btw, this is THE wife." WTF. As if I'm interested. DOH. Then, Danny, president of Pixelmetrix touched my waist cuz I was ushering him to his car with an umbrella and the APB staff were like, "He's married!" WTF. Oh, and Sean asked me what I think of Clarence (this super gay-ish guy) and I thought Sean was thinking that Clarence was gay - but in fact, he's like the matchmaker or something according to Mel. WTF. What a day!

Better rush my travel feature. Damn it's due like yesterday and Aileen finally called me to remind me. Oh well, work calls. Oh, the EDITORS like my long feature - whoppeee! Effort didn't go to waste. Yeah. Later.

Woohoo! A day's effort. Not top-notch stuff since I'm a Flash idiot and I only trust myself using HTML codes. I'm learning how to do thumbnails for the media section. Hmm, as you can see, it was stated "coming soon..." Maybe I'll try using iphoto. Events page is empty too. I'm too lazy to think of crap to put there temporarily.

Oops. My whole paragraph of entry just disappeared. I need sleep. Badly. Rented Stanley Kubrick's Lolita today. Got fined for 'Hackers'. Basket. At least that Video Ezy guy didn't charge me a large sum. Hehe. Nice lad. Anyway, haven't done my Travel feature. Don't intend to. I just need sleep. Nites.
