Oops. It’s Sunday. Was watching “The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys” last night, and went straight to sleep (Yes, sleep is a luxury). Haha, the film was highly recommended by Kee and I didn’t wanna buy it at first. After much hesitation and aimless walking around Heeren, I rushed back to HMV and bought it. Heh. Kee gave the movie a 10/10 – however, I would give it a 9/10. Well, at least I trusted Kee’s words and didn’t blow $14.95 on some stupid movie. Yup, it’s worth every dollar and cent. Review? It’s about these two best friends –Tim (Kieren Culkin) and Francis (Emile Hirsch –who?) who tried their best to get into serious trouble without getting caught by NUN-zilla, a nun called sister Assumpta (Jodie foster). It’s really hilarious who they applied the science/mathematics theories they learnt in school to their pranks. They were also avid comic readers and even created their own comic book, The Atomic Trinity. Yup, there were lotsa “imagined” animated sequences (which totally kick-ass!)… I think incorporating animation into the film is really original. Esp. It’s a comic strip form. The script is really good too – very tight and no “beating around the bush scenes”… like “Meet Joe Black” (zzz). Had family dinner at Mouth Kitchen. My first Yi-sheng dinner… lol… anyway, I think the salmon tasted yucky.

writer’s block day

Bite Size
Thoughts of the day: Why did I even thought of doing journalism? *shrugs*
Curses of the day: I can’t freaking write!
Work: Ad Analysis, Feature Write Profile, 3-D Modelling timepiece, AdCamp stuff
Days to Valentine’s Day: 7
No. of dates for V-Day:0

Gosh. I can’t write. I woke up at amazing 8:30am – abit too late for Feature Writing. Tot of rushing down to school in a cab only to find out my wallet only contained $2. Dang. Today isn’t exactly my day. Then we were supposed to do this Kevin Kline profile in class – I was totally stumped. My brain could not even think of a lead or anything to write. I felt so stupid just staring at the computer screen and typing my lead, “Kevin Kline is famous.” I don’t know whether if it’s writer’s block or just me. And there I was thinking Robin Yee won’t flash my screen to the entire class – I’ve never felt so embarrassed in my entire MCM err… days. Maybe I should have just took A-Levels and go to law school. Hmmm… I can’t even do radio too. I’m a Pro-tools idiot. Come to think about it, I think I’m a Mass Comm idiot. That brings to whether I’m in the freaking right course or not? Ugh… maybe I will consider law after graduating from NP. Think Ally McBeal.

Finally! Handed up my stupid radio capsule so one down…. Millions more to go. I wonder if I’m really good in anything. Arrgghh! If I can’t get into CTV – I vow to take law after graduation… must set a blardee benchmark for myself. Came home and watch “Bend It Like Beckham” while munching on Pringles (again). I think today is such a bad day that I couldn’t even laugh at British comedy. I need sleep. Today is Bella (my lil’ cousin)’s 9th birthday. Oh, happy birthday. Just ate a piece of her ice-cream cake. Yum.

Another sleepless nite today? Nahz.
I wanna sleep early but I have add-on to the radio script. Dang. Been reading Amy’s Noogies just now. Already feeling sleepy. Hate to say this but I really wanna throw all my homework/assignment sheets out the window and take off my shirt and stone. This sounds crazy but I know it’s a lil’ too early to give up. Everything is getting on my nerves these days. I kept complaining… nagging… whining… about every lil’ things. Ugh, can’t explain the negativity that is over-bearing me.

I wanna go home. I wanna go home. I wanna go home.

Hmm, maybe I’m still having the CNY mood. Maybe it’s the “unfinished business” (angpow collecting business, no?)… or I am just super lazy. My period is over. This can’t be PMS. Unless it’s some post-menstrual syndrome… gosh, I don’t wanna know. Maybe it’s the Valentine’s Day “hoo-haa” around campus and gosh, the whole wide world. Yup, I can’t stand V-Day. It’s a pain. It’s torture. You see lovey dovey couple smooching each other one corner… it’s like a funeral day to all Singletons. Then you have all the soppy love songs… glittery hearts or cupids hanging in shopping centre and not to mention, FOOD also have the lovers combo or something. It’s an epidemic all singletons have to survive every year. Why don’t they come up with a “SINGLE’s” day where all singles can celebrate their freedom from attachment?!?

Hmm, I’m sounding like some real meanie. Must be the mandarin orange *burp*

Plans for V-Day:sleep? homework?

Catch Me If You Can review! I will give a 4 out of 5. Overall, it was highly entertaining (I laughed so hard till I got stitches) and yeah, pretty good. Leo DiCaprio was a convincing Frank W. Abagnale… gosh, I’m still stunned from the fact that a high school kid could do all that?!? It highlights how boring my secondary school life was… Frank was travelling around the world free-of-charge, screwing beautiful women (yes, air-stewardess included), partying at the hottest spots, wore expensive suits, eat at fancy restaurants, and a MILLIONAIRE! And he’s not even 20. I’m going to be 20 – and what was I doing before in secondary school? I was taking my O-Levels, never flew on the plane since I was 9, happy to be poor, obeying to every rules and regulations, and as usual, still a virgin. Frank made my life sound so boring.

Van borrowed me her “Catch Me If You Can” book today – I immediately started reading after the movie on the mrt. Frank is super interesting and he is still a millionaire now – gosh, I still can’t believe this. I could even write about him for my leader thingy for Media Management – except that I don’t really think he’s a leader in being a conman. Hmmm, it would be awesome if I could interview him for my feature writing. Sigh. I think I’m gonna fail FeatWrite. Ugh… I still couldn’t find an interviewee. I’m super duper screwed. It’s like 1am now. I think I better go sleep. Haizz… not fulfilling my own NY’s resolution to sleep more. Feeding on Pringles now. Yum.

YES.
I’m still in one piece. Not dead and very much alive although I felt like a dead fish today. Reached puny S’pore at 6am in the morn via Tuas (second link) and kena dumped by the side of the road by the bus driver cuz I refused to continue the journey to Lavender MRT. Felt really lost and was dragging my luggage bag around aimlessly in the dark and finally boarded bus service 154 after endless unsuccessful cab flagging. Reached home at about 7:30am. Bummer. Was super late for Media Management at 8am. Stoned most of the time and went crackpot when provoked. So, don’t blame me. It’s the 8 hours long journey and lack of sleep and comfort. Wasn’t able to blog for the past four days cuz my home computer was spoilt. Stupid hard disk. Okay, here are the updates:

CNY eve
Reached Taiping “safely” at 7am and waited for freaking 45mins for mum and dad to pick me up. Bummer. Had steamboat for “reunion” lunch. Went last minute shopping with mum and sis. Then, went to temple for chanting. Guess whom I saw there? The cute twins – Adrian and Aaron Ng! Gosh, brings back those Christmas party memories in Primary 6 (1995)… hahaha, that was a hell long time ago. They are still cute although I had no idea, which is which. I can’t stand the fact that they are so SHORT! Gosh. Spoiler.

CNY 1st day
Woke up at 10am. Still suffering from lack of sleep. Went visiting all the uncle auntie’s place… and of cuz, collect “ang pau”!!! Gambled at my 3rd auntie’s place and won RM18 – not bad eh? I could have won more… but hmm, overcome by greed and lost about RM12 bucks… haizz… never mind. The “gang” came over and almost finished my house’s cookies! Aiyoh!

CNY 2nd day
Went to centre for “dana”. Later go visiting again and went to Parit Buntar to visit 1st auntie. Watched “Hero” again. Gambled and won again – but not exactly that fun this time. Then, zzzzzzzzz.

CNY 3rd day
Met the “gang” again at Meridien Hotel’s coffee house and had the worst banana split ever – which also cost me RM6. Ugh. Khom and I got caught in this massive jam near the zoo… that nenepok took the wrong route and we were stuck there for about 45 mins. Bummer. Went home and everybody went out and I don’t have the keys! Dang. Called mum from Jayne’s place and they were at the Chin’s house. Mum picked me up and YEAH! We went to Chin’s place… and Jeffrey was there! Whooppeee! I can’t believe I haven’t seen him for about 12 years already. It’s amazing to meet your childhood crush again. Hahaha. He’s still cute so… *grinz* He’s going to New Zealand soon to do his master’s. Btw, he’s 24 this year – wow. I was actually quite pissed that time cuz Moon who was suppose to meet me at 6pm would rather see an Orang Utan than ME! Doh.

Alrite, let’s try to keep things nice and short. I’m dying for sleep now. Nite world.
